Roah Hyebhin Nho

Sound Designer  |  Producer

Hi! My name is Roah, a sound designer and game audio creator based in Boston.

My journey into sound design began at Berklee College of Music, where I study Electronic Production and Design. Through my studies, I've developed a strong interest in sound design, game audio, and interactive media, exploring how sound can shape atmosphere, enhance storytelling, and create immersive experiences.

My work combines creative sound design with technical production, using tools including Reaper, Pro Tools, Max, Ableton Live, and Logic Pro to craft audio for games, interactive media, and other creative projects.

About Me

I grew up in a musical environment and started learning piano when I was three years old. Since I was young, becoming an artist was always a dream of mine. I explored different ways of expressing myself through music, learning instruments such as piano, violin, flute, clarinet, and cello.

As I got older, I became focused on academics and temporarily stepped away from my dream of becoming an artist. However, during high school, I started thinking deeply about what I truly wanted to pursue. That was when I discovered that an artist I had admired for years had attended Berklee College of Music as a full scholarship student. Learning about that journey inspired me to dream about Berklee and begin my own path in music.

After coming to Berklee, I had the opportunity to explore music in ways I had never experienced before. I performed, produced, collaborated with different musicians, and allowed myself to explore the things I had always wanted to try.

While studying Electronic Production and Design, I discovered sound design. I became fascinated by the idea of creating sounds from nothing and building emotions, spaces, and stories through sound. It was something completely new to me, and I wanted to keep learning more about it.

Since then, I have continued developing myself as a sound designer while also exploring performance and music production. Although I love every part of being a musician, sound design gives me a different level of focus and excitement.

My goal is to become an artist and sound designer who combines musical expression, technology, and creativity. I am someone who believes in continuous growth, and I want to keep challenging myself, learning new things, and creating sounds that connect with people.
